Originally from Philadelphia, Joy Soto earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Albright

College in 2011. Joy continued to give back to her community once she returned home to Philadelphia and

served as an AmeriCorps member at the Southeast Philadelphia Collaborative. In December 2014, Joy was appointed as the Executive Director of the Youth Commission for the City of Philadelphia. She previously held the position of Community Voices and Engagement Fellow for WHYY, cultivating partnerships and executing various civic dialogue events. Joy Soto is currently the Education and Community Engagement Manager for the Philly POPS. She also serves as an Advisory Board Member for Greenlight Fund Philadelphia, Board Member for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists Philadelphia, a member of the Young Professionals Advisory Council and Events Co-Chair for Children First.
